MARCY
Nothing like that

He hates that, I don't know why, I think Kipling is a great name, it suits him, at least he wasn't named after Edgar Allen Poe.That would be three strikes for him, just look at him he looks like a cross between Festus from gunsmoke and Marvin the Alien and his sense of humour is like that of Fozzie Bear.Anyway, Kip gets me the jobs, I guess that's what counts.

Marcy continues on her way

MARCY
(Marcy reads out loud)
O for my sake do you with fortune chide, The guilty goddess of my harmful deeds, That did not better for my life provide Than public means which public manners breeds Thence comes it that my name receives a brand And almost thence my nature is subdued To what it works in, like the dyers hand Pity me then and wish I were renewed Whilst, like a willing patient, I will drink Potions of eisel' against my strong infection No bitterness that I will bitter think Nor double penance, to correct correction Pity me then, dear friend, and I assure ye Even that your pity is enough to cure me

(MARCY)

Marcy close up the book and then removes her diary from the top drawer of the side table next to the bed.Again, we hear Marcy's voice

MARCY
I am the guilty goddess, but who have I harmed. Why am I put down for contributing to society, doing legitimate work? Actors are seen by the uninformed as millionaire spoiled babies. If they could only see the struggling actor who spends fifteen hours a day being pushed, pulled and strained. For this sacrifice we are branded as lazy? I myself have not taken to alcohol or drugs to remedy the pain we all feel to some extent. I do not chastise those who do, for them the bitter medicine is a just alternative to the sickening pain.To you Tucker, my friend, I will not offer you my pity, rather the flame that will renew.

As I sit here getting ready for my date with my closest friend Tucker, I can't help reflect or more accurately digress back to the night of my senior prom. Eighteen, giddy with anticipation of my Prince Charming arriving in his golden carriage to sweep me off my feet. Well, my prince was named Sherman Nusbomb and he drove an old pick-up truck which broke down half way to the prom. The only ferry tale I saw that night was the pin-up calendar on the wall of Roscoe's garage.Anyway four years and three thousand miles later I have that same giddy feeling about Tucker. Too quote Longfellow, "And the night shall be filled with music and cares that infest the day shall fold their tents...and silently steal away" Tucker you are my friend and soul mate

A place to go and find solace amongst the patches of grass, seeking shelter from the cruelties of life.I have been blessed to have played on the same playground as Tucker.Tucker was the Jordan of the blacktop playground that is this business.I have learned from the best how to enjoy all that life has to offer and avoid that which can hurt me.Today its time for me to step out of the grass and take control of Marcy's Playground
